Yay! We made it to Seattle! We had a few members meet us at the airport and we all got there at about the same time - yay:)
We got all 14 people checked in - we checked in about 25 bags for 14 people and we were supposed to pay about $840 in luggage fees and the airline kiosk only charged us all about $300?? give or take... i'm still not quite sure who had to pay and how much but we give God the glory for all of that!! Praying now that customs goes just as easy!!
Now we are chillin at SeaTac!

Amazing Start to the Trip
God was so awesome today! It turns out the bus that the bus company
was intending on bringing would have been much too small for our team
and all their luggage. It would have been a small disaster. HOWEVER,
the small bus "broke down" so the bus company had to bring a huge tour
bus with more than enough room for all the luggage. Plus, the team got
to ride in style and in comfort. Thank you God... YOU ARE SO AMAZING!!

Today is the day!
The journey officially begins today at 2pm when we load the bus at CCTC but God begun the journey many months ago!
Please keep the team travels in your prayers today. That we make all of the connections and cruise on through customs!!
We arrive in montego bay at about 10am on Saturday July 21.
Blessings,
Kirsten

Being Flexible...
I'm pretty sure that being flexible may be our "motto" for this trip :) It will be good - i am usually a type A planner and have a pretty good idea what's going to happen next. However, it was about 8 years ago that I let God have control of my life and now I'm just along for the ride... He has taught me that it is HIS plan that matters the most and you know what- IT IS!! It is so much more fun too :) So... I'm excited to see what's going to happen!
With that - The itinerary that i just posted a few days ago is all wrong - however, our arrival and departures are correct but the orphanages that we have been planning & preparing to visit are not the ones that we will be visiting. I just got word from EO (Embracing Orphans) that we will be visiting 3 different ones (not sure why - will know soon) We are now visiting the SOS children's village, Melody House (small home for teens) & Granville Girls Home (teen home of 60 girls). I am looking forward to see what we get to do there!
Please keep the entire team and their families in your prayers now and during the trip...
We are leaving the church at 2pm on Friday via bus to Seattle...

Almost time to go!
I can't believe that it is almost time to go! I'm hoping to keep this blog updated as we continue on our journey...
Our team are all making last minute preparations and packing! At this point, i don't think that we need anymore supplies. If you are wanting to help, please lift us up in prayer or donate $ to our trip to be able to do what God wants us to do while we are there.
Here is our schedule of our trip:
